Christmas day

Christmas is nearly approaching, and i have a lot of food in mind. I really want it to be special because this our first Christmas as husband and wife. I'm looking forward to it. I'm thinking about what food to prepare since we are all excited about what food to cook. Since my husband always do the cooking, I want to make up with him. I will be the one to cook this time. He doesn't know it yet that's why its called a surprise. I was thinking about cooking "ADOBO".

Adobo is a filipino national dish. Theres a lot of versions in cooking adobo. They have very different yet tasty ingredients. This is my adobo version. Here are the ingredients:

PORK ADOBO:

1 kilo of sliced meat
soy sauce
vinegar
laurel leaves
salt
black peppercorns
garlic cloves, peeled
onions
cooking oil
pinch of sugar
some water

1.put meat into large pot mixed with 6 parts soy sauce and 3 parts vinegar
2.mixed spices together add more garlic for better taste (more garlic better the taste)
3.marinate meat with spices for about 15 to 30 minutes
4.add some water to the pot about half full so that it will have a very tasty sauce
5.add a pinch of salt and sugar(sugar for sweetness)
6.cover and let it cook for 30 minutes until it meat is tender

The adobo is ready to prepare when meat is tender.
This is my version of adobo. Less expensive and definitely tasty!
